Frequently Asked Questions

Wait - is this Sideshow Sign Co.?

Good eye. Andrew was the Art Director at Sideshow Sign Co. and worked closely with Luke Stockdale for years. In early 2020, Sideshow closed shop and has since transitioned into what is now Radtron Studio. Same sausage, different kitchen, as Luke would say.

What’s your specialty?

Although we’ve dabbled in everything from opening multiple brick ‘n mortar retail locations, to pitching tv show concepts to national networks, our bread and butter sweet spot is at the crossroads of advanced graphic design and custom fabrication. We most often refer to this as Environmental Branding with an emphasis on Architectural Signage.

Do you take on projects that aren’t signage related?

Absolutely. We’re known for branding and signage, but we’re always up for collaborating with other designers.

Do you fabricate in-house?

We run as a small team with a hybrid production model. The most custom of items are typically fabricated here in our Nashville studio, but we also employ the talents of select specialists we’ve come to know and trust over the years.

Rest assured, if it has our name on it it’ll also have our eyes all over it.

Do you provide signage permits & installation?

Yep - we work directly with local installers to pull all necessary permits specific to your area before scheduling your installation.

How do you charge for different services?

For signage, the Design & Development Phase is quoted separate from production, but a total scope estimate will be supplied before any work takes place. Cost of fabricated items and deliverables is based on materials and labor and can only be accurately estimated after the Design & Development Phase is complete.

In many instances, during the design process we can design towards a fabrication budget - a major benefit of the signage being designed by the same person who created the branding.

I already have my own branding, can I just get a sign made?

Absolutely. However, we only work with designs that we believe will result in beautiful signage - most do, but some are better off with a style that we don’t offer. In that case, we’ll always recommend another provider more suited to your situation.

Do you work with architectural / construction drawings?

You betcha. We’ve been working closely with architects, developers and interior designers since the beginning. We speak their language.
